Phoenix has significant experience in the design, construction and operation of wood-fired biomass power projects. The principals of Phoenix have owned and operated biomass facilities for over two decades
Phoenix's biomass experience dates back two decades to its first 18 MW biomass project in New Hampshire as EPC Contractor and Investor. Since then, Phoenix has executed and actively pursued a number of biomass projects as EPC Contractor and Investor, typically utilizing traditional stoker boilers ranging from 15 to 40 MW and a variety of wood based fuel resources. In addition, Phoenix has served as Program Manager for a Pellet Fuel Manufacturing Facility that manufactures fuel pellets from both green wood and sawdust for sale to European clients.
