Hunlock Creek Power Station 120 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Hunlock was an existing 50 MW coal fired power plant located on the Susquehanna River in Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania. The existing plant was re-powered utilizing two new GE LM6000 gas turbines including an expansion of the existing 50 MW steam turbine . The Phoenix scope comprised the electrical installation of a new combined cycle power plant and the re-powering of the existing steam turbine.

The new facility utilizes (2) GE LM6000 combustion turbine generators, coupled with (2) Victory Heat Recovery Steam Generators. including a new 30,000# St./Hr. auxiliary boiler complete with auxiliary equipment. The project site required extensive upgrades as part of the re-powering, including new fuel storage facilities, feed water system, and water treatment systems.
